Change Language

Mondo supports many different languages for displaying text in menus and on buttons. The content added by site members is not affected.

Note! In some places in Mondo the text is always displayed in English no matter what language you choose.

Step 1

Click on the tab My Workspace and choose Preferences in the left menu. Click on Language in the horizontal menu to the right.

Personal settings

Steg 2

Choose your preferred language in the scroll list and click the Save-button. The language will change once you go to a new page in Mondo (e.g. when you choose a new Mondo site).

Organize your sites

You can choose which sites you want to show in the horizontal tab menu and which sites to show in the tab My Active Sites. If you are a fairly new Mondo user you might only be a member on a few sites. If that is the case all your sites will show in the horizontal menu. But if you have access to a lot of sites it can be good to hide the sites you don´t use any more and place the most active sites in the horizontal menu. The sites that do not fit in the horizontal menu are available in the tab My active sites.

Step 1

Click on the tab My workspace and choose Preferences.

Personal settings

Step 2

In the box to the left you can choose the number of site tabs to be shown in the horizontal menu.

Personal settings

Step 3

All sites that are visible to you are shown in the box to the left. The site at the top is the site that is shown on the right side of the tab My workspace. Site number two is shown on the right side of the first tab etc.

Personal settings

Step 4

If you want a specific site to be shown in the horizontal menu, you mark it and click on the up-arrow until the site is in the right place. Click on the Save-button. The change will be shown when you go to another page in Mondo. E.g. if you go to a site and click on the refresh-button in the web browser.

Personal settings

Step 5

In the box to the right you place the sites you no longer use and wish to hide. If you hide a site it is not shown either in the horizontal menu or in the tab My Active Sites. Since ordinary Mondo users cannot delete sites it could be a good idea to hide your test sites and other temporary sites that you will not use anymore. You hide a site by marking it in the box to the left and clicking on the right-arrow. If you wish to make a hidden site visible again you simply mark the site in the right box and click on the left-arrow.

Finish by clicking on the Update Preferences-button.

Notifications

You can choose how often notifications from Mondo will be sent to you, and if you want to receive low priority messages. You can set preferences for notifications in the following tools:

  • Announcements
  • Resources
  • Drop Box
  • Syllabus
  • Email Archive

Make your preferences, click on the tab My Workspace and choose Notifications.

Personal settings

The default setting in Mondo is that email notifications are send directly when someone has added content to a site. If there is a lot of activity on the site and many files and other information are added to the site every day it could be useful to change the preferences in Mondo and only receive one email per day with information about all uploads made that day (the setting in the middle).

The person adding content to a site can choose to make low priority notifications. If you choose the third alternative you will not get the email notifications with low priority.

Note! These preferences do not include the tool Forum. If you wish to make similar preferences for Forum, go to the tool Forum and choose Watch.

Choose preferences for each tool and finish by clicking on the Save-button.

Profile

There is a profile tool in Mondo with similarities to social platforms like Facebook. You can add contacts (other Mondo users), images and send messages etc. with this tool. These functions have some technical flaws. Therefore we recommend that you do not spend a lot of time configuring and using this tool.

However, we advise you to add a picture of yourself and fill out the information about who you are. This information is shown in the tool Roster and will be useful for all site participants.

You access your profile settings by clicking on the tab My Workspace and Profile in the left menu.

To change your picture, or add information, move the cursor to the upper right corner in each information box to make the Edit link appear.
