Create and manage groups

There are several ways of creating groups in Mondo. Usually they are created in Site Info by the site administrator or teacher. It is also possible to let participants create groups with the tool Section Info.

You can see how groups are created in the tool Section Info in this Swedish guide.

Step 1

Reuse material and copy sites

There are several ways of reusing material from old sites. If you mainly want to reuse material from one specific site it is easiest to make a copy of that site. If you already have created your new site and want to import material from one or several of your old sites you can use the import function instead (see further down Import from other sites).

Copy site

Step 1

Go to the site you want to reuse and choose Site Info in the menu to the left and then click on Duplicate site.

copy_site_01_en.png

Step 2

Give the site a new name/title and choose academic term (only valid when copying course sites). Finish by clicking on Duplicate.

copy_site_02_en.png

Now you have created a copy of the old site with a new name. Note that only material that has been uploaded by teachers will follow when copying sites.

Import from other sites

Step 1

Go to the site you want to import material to and choose Site Info in the menu to the left and then click on Import from site.

import_site_01_en.png

Step 2

Here you can choose if you want the imported material to replace your data or if you want to merge your data. The third alternative is used for when you want to import user(s) that you manually have added to the other sites.

In this example we choose I would like to merge my data.

import_site_02_en.png

Step 3

Choose which site(s) you want to import material from.

import_site_03_en.png

Click on "Continue" at the bottom of the page.

Step 4

Choose which tools you want to import material from and click Finish.

Note! To be able to import material, the corresponding tool must be added to the site. I.e., if you e.g. want to import material from another site´s Resources you must already have added this tool to the site you want to import to.

import_site_04_en.png

Now all material is imported to the site. Note that is is only the material that teachers have uploaded that can be imported. Material uploaded by students will not be imported.
